Weekday Class Added…

 Come join the Thursday class at 7pm at Chico Junior High’s cafeteria.  This class is taught by TTW veteran instructors, Eric and Sean.  This is the class to attend if you want to polish off your zombie moves and really get into the detail of the choreography.

Another Successful Chico Palio…

Our Chico Thriller Dancers did an awesome job performing a teaser Thriller dance at this year’s Chico Palio.  What a great way for the community to get a glimpse of how fun our event can be and how people of all ages and abilities can participate.  Big thanks to all the dancers that volunteered their time by performing at this event.

Mark Your Calendars!

Thrill The World Chico will be on Saturday, October 26th at 2pm in the Downtown Plaza Park.  We will begin practicing on Saturday, September 14th at 1pm at the One Mile Park.  We will also have a midweek evening practice too, date will be announced.

This will be Chico’s 5th year participating in Thrill The World and wouldn’t be such a success without our awesome sponsor, Friends of the Arts, and many helpful volunteers.  Each year we raise more and more money for Arts For All, who then helps to provide more enriching art experiences to the students of Chico.

We are ALWAYS looking for more volunteers to be apart of the TTW Chico Leadership Team.  If you would like to help with instruction, media marketing, making copies, make-up help, or other day of the event help, please contact me.  I am pleased to share that I will be expecting another baby this fall, so I will definitely need the extra help.

Rock on, rock on, rock on, rock on!

Zombie Photos Are In…

We did it!  We had about 230 zombies Thrill Chico on Saturday.  What a great event!  We raised around $800 for Arts For All and got a lot of attention in the media for our successful event.

Zombie Inspiration

Here are some video links to give you zombie inspiration and to get you pumped up for our event!  If you haven’t participated before, be sure to watch our Official Videos from our previous events to give you an idea of what to expect.

Enjoy putting your zombie look together.  I recommend finding inspiration at your favorite thrift shop and then building your look around that.  The weather is looking good, so feel free to go all out with your costume.

Please be sure to register online, if you plan on dancing with us next Saturday, 10/27 at 12pm.

The online form is pretty quick to fill out and will make your check-in process the day of the event much quicker.  Please fill out below.

Thursday practices at Chico Junior…

Thanks everyone who came to last night’s practice at Chico Junior!  It was a small group, but we have LOTS of room for more dancers.  It is highly recommended to take classes from different instructors, as it is nice to pick up on our unique zombie dance moves.  Eric, who leads on Thursdays, is very thorough and there is time to really review tricky moves and transitions in his class.

 

Parking update:   It is advised that park near the Wells Fargo/Chico Junior parking lot and enter through the cafeteria.  There is plenty of room to park and when you walk towards the school the cafeteria doors will be open on the left.
