About Thrill The World

Thrill The World is a worldwide attempt to break  World Records for the Largest Simultaneous Dance of Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Thousands of people in cities around the world will learn the Thriller, dance and perform it together on Saturday, October 26th, 2013.  This is a community arts event where dancers of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to join.

Last year’s TTW Chico was a HUGE success!  We had over 275 dancers, of all ages, participate and a couple hundred audience members.  It was a true community event with awesome participation, volunteers and enthusiasm.

This year’s Thrill The World, sponsored again by Friends of the Arts and Arts For All, will be at the Downtown Park Plaza at 2pm on October 26, 2012.   Registration for the event will take  from 12pm – 1:30pm at the Downtown Plaza Park.

People can participate in two ways:  Be a dancer or an audience member. Dancers must learn the dance by attending practices or learning the dance through online tutorials. Audience members may come the day of the event and watch the performance.  We will not be teaching the dance the day of the event.

For more information on how to participate, please email the Event Manager, Cathy Small Tuttle at ttw09chico@gmail.com.

We ask for a $3-5 dollar donation when you register the day of the event, to cover event costs and benefit Arts For All.
